7th Grade Students Showcase Their Poetic Creations

In June, Russia and the entire Russian-speaking world traditionally celebrate the birthday of the great Russian poet — Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin (June 6). For our school, this is a very special holiday — a chance to once again connect with the classics and draw inspiration from his immortal lines.

This year, the 7th grade students were invited to try their hand at poetic creativity. The task turned out to be a real challenge, but the students did an excellent job! Not only did they read and discuss Pushkin’s works, but they also created their own poems dedicated to summer, nature, friendship, and their native language.

In the photo above, the young authors are proudly holding a large collective poster featuring their best lines, drawings, and reflections. Each poem is a personal response to Pushkin’s tradition. The smiles on their faces say it all — the creative work turned out sincere, bright, and truly heartfelt.

“Ah, summer! Poetic ways…” — this is how the students titled their collective project.

We are proud of our 7th graders! Assignments like this not only help them understand Russian literature more deeply, but also develop their own voice, imaginative thinking, and love for their native language.

Congratulations to all participants and thank you to the teachers for this wonderful initiative! May Pushkin’s spirit continue to inspire our students to new creative achievements.
